Dative Case Exercises For Serbian Grammar

Exercise 1: Fill in the blanks with the correct Dative case form of the noun:

The Dative case in Serbian grammar is one of the 7 Serbian cases. It is usually used to indicate the recipient or beneficiary of the action. It often answers the questions “whom?” and “to whom?”. For example, if we say “I am giving a book to John”, “John” would be in the Dative case for he is the recipient of the book. In Serbian language, this would be “Dajem knjigu *Johnu* (John)”. Now let’s practice the Dative case with some exercises.
