Եղանակ (Yeghanak) – Weather

Արև (Arev) – Sun

Ամպ (Amp) – Cloud
A visible mass of condensed water vapor floating in the atmosphere, typically high above the ground.

Անձրև (Andzrev) – Rain
Water that is condensed from the aqueous vapor in the atmosphere and falls to earth in drops.

Ձյուն (Dzyun) – Snow
Precipitation falling from clouds in the form of ice crystals.
Ձյունը արդեն սկսել է: (Dzyun@ arden sksel e.) – The snow has already started.
Կայծակ (Kaytsak) – Lightning
A sudden electrostatic discharge that occurs typically during a thunderstorm, which produces a flash of light.
Կայծակը շատ սարսափելի էր: (Kaytsaky shat sarsapeli e.) – The lightning was very frightening.
Երկաթում (Erkatum) – Thunder
The sound caused by the rapid expansion of the air around a lightning bolt.
Երկաթումը հնչեց հենց մեր տան վրա: (Erkatumy hnchets henc mer tan vra.) – The thunder rumbled right over our house.
Օդի ճնշման (Odi jnshman) – Atmospheric pressure
The pressure exerted by the weight of the atmosphere, which at sea level has a mean value of 1013.25 millibars (or hectopascals).

Կամարջականյան ջերմություն (Kamarjakanyan jermut’yun) – Greenhouse effect
The trapping of the sun’s warmth in a planet’s lower atmosphere due to the greater transparency of the atmosphere to visible radiation from the sun than to infrared radiation emitted from the planet’s surface.

Ջերմաստիճան (Jermastichan) – Temperature
The degree of internal heat of a person’s body or the atmosphere.

Ծանրամազ (Ts’anramaz) – Humidity
The amount of water vapor present in the air.

Մառախուղ (Marakhugh) – Fog
A thick cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the Earth’s surface that obscures or restricts visibility.
Մառախուղը սառույցի նման է: (Marakhughy saruytsi nman e.) – The fog is like ice.
Վառ արև (Varr arev) – Bright sun
Used to describe a day when the sun is shining strongly and there is no cloud covering.
Վառ արևն ինձ հարստացնում է: (Varr arevn indz harstats’num e.) – The bright sun is making me tan.
Ոռոգման հոսք (Vorroghman hosk) – Precipitation
Any form of water – liquid or solid – that falls from clouds and reaches the ground.
Ոռոգման հոսքը պետք է այս քաղաքում: (Voroghman hosky petk’ e ays k’aghak’um.) – Precipitation is needed in this city.
