The past tense, called “minalo vreme,” is used to describe completed actions that occurred before the present moment. It is formed by adding specific verb endings to the verb stem.

The present tense, called “sredno vreme,” is used to express actions that are happening in the present or actions that are habitual. The conjugation of verbs in the present tense involves the use of different endings depending on the verb class.

The future tense, called “budno vreme,” is used to describe actions that will happen in the future. It is formed by adding specific endings to the infinitive form of the verb.

Additionally, Macedonian Grammar also includes a conditional tense, which is used to express actions that are dependent on a certain condition being fulfilled. This tense is formed by combining the present tense of the verb “bi” (to be) with the past participle of the main verb.
