Tenses are a fundamental aspect of English grammar. They help us convey when an action takes place and give context to our statements. In English, there are three main tenses: past, present, and future. Each tense has different forms to indicate the time of the action.

The past tense is used to talk about actions that have already happened. We form it by adding “-ed” to regular verbs or using irregular verb forms. The present tense refers to actions that are happening now or are generally true. It is formed by using the base form of the verb or adding an “-s” or “-es” for third-person singular subjects. The future tense talks about actions that will occur later. We often use the verb “will” or “be going to” to express it.
