Progressive - Bosnian Grammar

Progressive Theory, also known as Continuous Aspect Theory, is a significant aspect of Bosnian grammar. It is used to express ongoing actions or states in a given period of time. This aspect is formed by combining the auxiliary verb “biti” (to be) with the present participle of the main verb.

Similarly, “Ti si pisao pismo” (You were writing a letter) implies that someone was engaged in the act of writing a letter in the past.
