Modal Verbs Exercises For Tagalog Grammar

Exercise 1: Fill in the blanks with the appropriate Tagalog Modal Verbs

Modal Verbs in Tagalog grammar serve similar roles as in English and other languages. Such verbs offer a mode or manner through which the verb in the sentence can be understood; they present possibilities, obligations, capabilities, permissions and probabilities. Some examples include “dapat” (should/must), “puwede” (can/may) and “gusto” (want). In this exercise, we will practice the usage of these verbs in different Tagalog sentences.
