In Norwegian grammar, โcommon nounsโ refer to general names for people, things, ideas, or animals. They are not specific to one particular entity and do not start with a capital letter unless they begin a sentence. They can be either singular or plural, and masculine, feminine, or neuter in gender. Common nouns in Norwegian languages can also be definite or indefinite.
