In Tamil grammar, Adverbs of Time (கால வினையெச்சம்) are used to indicate when something happens. Similar to English, these adverbs are usually placed either at the beginning or at the end of the sentence, though they can occasionally be found in the middle as well. Examples of adverbs of time in Tamil include ‘நேரத்தில்’ (on time), ‘இன்று’ (today), ‘நாளை’ (tomorrow), ‘முன்பு’ (before), ‘பின்னர்’ (later), ‘மிகைநாள்’ (all day) and ‘எப்போதும்’ (always).
