How to Use Word Mode

1. Start a Unit: Each unit includes a set of words related to a theme (like food, colors, or everyday objects), each shown with a picture to help you visualize the meaning.
   
2. Practice Pronunciation: Tap the microphone icon and pronounce each word. Talkpal gives you feedback so you can improve your pronunciation as you go.
   
3. Repeat and Review: Practice different words in each unit. You can go back to repeat units as often as you like to reinforce learning.
   
4. Adjust Voice Speed: You can slow down or speed up the pronunciation of each word by adjusting the voice speed in the settings. This helps you hear the words more clearly and practice at your own pace.

Begin by choosing a roleplay from a variety of options, including everyday scenarios like a coffee shop conversation or creative ones like a fantasy world.

Roleplay Mode offers customizable settings, which include:

Language settings: Easily switch languages within the settings menu to diversify your learning.

Instant feedback: After each recording, you receive detailed feedback, including an overall pronunciation score.

The Score System in Sentence Mode is designed to provide you with clear, visual feedback on your speaking performance. After each sentence recording, your performance is rated on a scale of up to 100. This rating includes scores for pronunciation, accuracy, fluency, and completeness, allowing you to see exactly where you excel and where improvement is needed.

Your performance is rated on a scale of up to 100. The feedback includes color-coded smileys to help you visualize your progress:

Green: High score (=>80)

Blue: Good score (=>60 & <80)

Orange: Fair score (=40-60)

Yellow: Mid-range score (=>40-20)

Red: Lower score (<20)

Additionally, there’s a repeat button that allows you to listen to the recorded sentence again. By replaying the recordings, you can compare your pronunciation and identify areas for improvement. In Sentence Mode, you can also adjust language settings and use the mute button to silence the audio when needed.

1. Describe the Photo: Use at least 10 words to describe what you see.

2. Get Feedback: Submit your description and get instant feedback.

3. Skip Option: Skip the photo if you don’t like it.

You can also use the microphone function to speak your descriptions instead of typing.

Characters
