The Simple Present or “Prezent” in Serbian grammar refers to the tense used to describe actions that are happening now or truths that always apply. It’s one of the most commonly used tenses and it’s generally straightforward to conjugate. Like in English, the conjugation is different depending on the subject of the sentence, so learners have to remember the different forms of the verb for “I”, “you”, “he/she/it”, “we”, “you plural”, and “they”.
