Second Conditional Exercises For Polish Grammar

Bolster language skills with grammar exercises

The Second Conditional (Drugi tryb warunkowy) in the Polish language is used to talk about unreal or imaginary situations. It is constructed of two clauses – a condition (“if” clause) and a result. The “if” clause uses the Past Tense form of the verb, and the result clause uses the Conditional form of the verb. The word ‘by’ is also used in the second part of the sentence. For instance, ‘Gdybym miał pieniądze, kupiłbym dom’ means ‘If I had money, I would buy a house’.
