In Persian Grammar, the Present Simple tense and the Present Continuous tense are used differently, much like English. The Present Simple is often used to express habits, general truths, repeated actions or unchanging situations, emotions, and wishes. On the other hand, the Present Continuous tense is typically used to express ongoing actions or situations that are happening at the precise moment of speaking. It is also used to indicate future plans in some contexts. Just like English, the verbs in both of these tenses are inflected differently, depending on whether they are regular or irregular.
