The Present Perfect tense in Polish grammar, similarly to other languages, is used to describe actions or states that have occurred in the past and continue or have relevance to the present moment. It perfectly links the past with the present. Normally, it is formed by using the present tense of the auxiliary verb “to have” (“mieฤ” in Polish) and the past participle. However, the usage of the Present Perfect tense in Polish is not as common as in English, and often the simple past tense is used instead. Despite this, itโs still important to understand this tense.
