Predicative Adjectives Exercises For Icelandic Grammar

Exercise 1: Fill in the blanks with the correct predicative adjective

Predicative adjectives in Icelandic grammar are those adjectives that are usually in the predicate of the sentence, following the verb “to be” (vera) or “to become” (verða), and describe the subject. They agree in gender, number and case like other adjectives, but they are not always declined like the attributive adjectives. Furthermore, some adjectives can only be used in the predicative position. Let’s practice with some sentences.
