Possession Exercises For Welsh Grammar

Exercise 1: Fill in the correct Welsh possessive pronoun

Possession in Welsh grammar is quite different from English. Welsh does not use a possessive ‘s’ as we do in English. Instead, it uses a system of possessive pronouns and ‘genitive pronouns’. Where, in English, it is specified who ‘owns’ something by the word before the noun, in Welsh, the noun is preceded by the pronoun of the possessor.
