Plural nouns in Turkish grammar are formed by simply adding the suffix ‘-lar’ or ‘-ler’ depending on the vowel harmony rules. The choice for ‘-ler’ or ‘-lar’ for plural noun forms depends on the final vowel of the word. If the last vowel of the noun is a, ı, o, u then ‘-lar’ is added for the plural form. If the last vowel of the noun is e, i, ö, ü then ‘-ler’ is added. Let’s practice with some exercises.
