Perfect Continuous Tenses Exercises For Vietnamese Grammar
In Vietnamese, Perfect Continuous Tenses do not exist as in English. The concept of continuity or an ongoing action is conveyed through context, adverbs, or phrases that indicate time. However, one can imply the sense of Perfect Continuous Tenses using the formula “đang” plus verb for present happenings, or “đã” plus “đang” plus verb for past events. In Vietnamese, Past Perfect Progressive also doesn’t have a specific structure as in English. However, it can be implied using the phrase “đã” plus “đang” plus verb. Further context, or time indicating words/phrases can then clarify the past and the continuous action part.
