Like English, Persian language also makes use of mixed conditionals to convey a situation where the condition (if-part) and result (then-part) do not match in terms of time. This allows for more flexibility and complexity in expressing hypothetical situations or regrets.

2. “اگر امروز تعطیل *بود* (be)، دیروز سفر می کردم.”
