In Greek grammar, the infinitive is a non-finite verb form that is often used to express an action as an abstract concept, rather than detailing who is doing the action, or when the action is happening. Much like in English, Greek infinitives are typically the base form of a verb. In practice, they can be used in a slightly broader variety of situations—in dependent clauses, for example—but always keep their core characteristic of abstracted, non-specific action. With this exercise, we aim to strengthen your understanding and usage of the Greek infinitives.
