In Swahili grammar, the Gender of Nouns is a crucial aspect to master. Unlike English, Swahili has more than two genders. There are various noun classes or categories that the nouns fall into, which include human, animal, plant, location, abstract concepts, and many more. Knowing the gender of a noun can help in identifying the noun class it belongs to and also influence the form of other words in a sentence such as adjectives and verbs.
