Demonstrative pronouns are a crucial aspect of Nepali grammar. They are used to point towards specific things or people in a conversation. In Nepali, demonstrative pronouns can correspond to three different spatial distinctions: near to the speaker (Yo), near to the listener (Tyo), and far from both (So). Each of these pronouns can change their form depending on whether the object is masculine, feminine or neutral and whether it is singular or plural.
