In Welsh grammar, Demonstrative Adjectives are incredibly important. They provide us with the ability to specify or point out the objects or people we are talking about. In the Welsh language, there are three Demonstrative Adjectives: ‘hwn’ (this), ‘hwnnw’ (that), and ‘y rhain’ (these). They are used to demonstrate or indicate specific things relative to the speaker and listener within a context. Just like in English, these adjectives in Welsh must agree in number with the noun they modify, but not in gender.
