Demonstrative adjectives in Galician grammar are used to express proximity or distance from the speaker, and can be translated as ‘this,’ ‘that,’ ‘these,’ and ‘those’ in English. There are three demonstrative adjectives in Galician: ‘este’ (this), ‘ese’ (that), and ‘aquel’ (that). They all agree in gender and number with the noun they modify.
