Definite articles in the Armenian language do not exist as separate words, but instead are represented by a specific suffix added to the end of a noun. This article is often referred to as the “noun marker” (-ը or -ն when a word ends with a vowel, while it becomes -ում or -ուն for words ending with a consonant). By adding the noun markers, you will have learned to distinguish between definite and indefinite nouns in Armenian.
