Imperative sentences in Turkish grammar are used to give commands or make requests. There are particular suffixes added to the stem of a verb to form an imperative sentence. The suffix used depends on the subject and the number of persons. The verb stem is followed by (y) ‘e’ or (y) ‘a’ in 2nd person singular, and (y)ın, (y)in, (y)un, (y)Ć¼n in 2nd person plural.
