Demonstrative Pronouns Exercises For Swahili Grammar

Demonstrative Pronouns in Swahili, like in English, are used to point out or indicate specific things or people. They are used in place of a noun and reflect gender, number and noun class of the noun they are representing. For instance, ‘huyo’ (he/she there), ‘hii’ (this), ‘yule’ (those far away) and ‘zile’ (those) are some examples of demonstrative pronouns in Swahili. The difference lies in proximity to the speaker and the noun class.
