Omistamista ilmaisevat sanat, eli possessiivit, ovat tärkeä osa englannin kieliopin osaamista. Ne auttavat ilmaisemaan, kenelle jokin asia kuuluu tai on yhteydessä. Possessiivirakenteet vaihtelevat hieman suomen kielestä, joten niiden harjoittelu on tärkeää osata kommunikoida selkeästi englanniksi.
