Käänteiset ehdolliset rakenteet, eli inverted conditionals, ovat tärkeä osa englannin kielioppia. Ne mahdollistavat virkkeiden ilmaisun tiivistetymmässä ja joskus virallisemmassa muodossa. Perinteisen ”if”-lauseen sijaan käänteinen ehdollinen lause rakenne kääntää lauseen osat ympäri, mikä tuo vaihtelua ja korostusta lauseen merkitykseen. Esimerkiksi lause ”If I had known, I would have helped.” voidaan ilmaista käänteisenä ehdollisena lauseena: ”Had I known, I would have helped.” Tämän harjoitteen tarkoituksena on kehittää ymmärrystäsi ja käyttöäsi näistä käänteisistä ehdollisista rakenteista englannin kielessä.
