Erläuterung

Das englische Verb „exonerate“ stammt aus dem Lateinischen „exonerare“, was so viel bedeutet wie „entlasten“ oder „freisprechen“. Im Deutschen könnte man es am besten mit „entlasten“, „freisprechen“ oder „von Schuld befreien“ übersetzen. Der Begriff wird häufig in rechtlichen und formellen Kontexten verwendet und beschreibt den Vorgang, bei dem jemand von einer Beschuldigung oder Schuld freigesprochen wird.
