När vi lär oss engelska grammatik är uttrycken ”wish” och ”if only” viktiga för att uttrycka önskningar eller ånger om nuvarande eller tidigare händelser. Dessa två uttryck används ofta för att prata om situationer som vi vill skulle vara annorlunda, vare sig det är något som inte kan ändras eller något som vi hoppas kommer förändras i framtiden. Genom att öva på dessa strukturer kan vi förbättra vår förmåga att kommunicera våra känslor och önskningar mer precist på engelska.
Att använda ”wish” och ”if only” på rätt sätt kräver en förståelse för hur verbformerna ändras i dessa sammanhang.
