I texten nedan f\u00f6ljer vi upp \u00f6vningar som hj\u00e4lper till att f\u00f6rst\u00e5 och \u00f6va den engelska<\/a> grammatiken kring rapporterat tal, eller s\u00e5 kallad ”Reported Speech”. Rapporterat tal anv\u00e4nds n\u00e4r man vill \u00e5terge vad n\u00e5gon annan har sagt, utan att anv\u00e4nda de exakta orden. Det \u00e4r en n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndig och viktig del i att l\u00e4ra sig bem\u00e4stra engelskan, d\u00e5 det \u00e4r vanligt f\u00f6rekommande i b\u00e5de skrift och tal. \u00d6vningarna som presenteras syftar till att bef\u00e4sta kunskaperna genom att fylla i korrekt form av rapporterat tal.<\/p>\n

Att kunna skilja mellan direkt tal (Direct Speech) och rapporterat tal \u00e4r avg\u00f6rande och kr\u00e4ver ofta omstrukturering av meningen samt anpassning av verb och pronomen. Dessa \u00f6vningar tar fasta p\u00e5 dessa skillnader och ger praktisk tr\u00e4ning i att konvertera meningar. Genom att arbeta med dessa \u00f6vningar kommer de studerande att f\u00e5 b\u00e4ttre f\u00f6rst\u00e5else och bli s\u00e4krare i anv\u00e4ndningen av rapporterat tal p\u00e5 engelska.<\/p>\n

He said, ”I am going to the store.” -> He said that he *was* (verb) going to the store.<\/p>\n

She said, ”I have finished my homework.” -> She said that she *had* (auxiliary) finished her homework.<\/p>\n

”I will call you later,” he said. -> He said that he *would* (modal) call me later.<\/p>\n

”Can you help me?” she asked. -> She asked if I *could* (modal) help her.<\/p>\n

”I must leave now,” he stated. -> He stated that he *had* (auxiliary) to leave then.<\/p>\n

”I’m feeling sick,” she mentioned. -> She mentioned that she *was* (verb) feeling sick.<\/p>\n

”We have been waiting for hours,” they complained. -> They complained that they *had* (auxiliary) been waiting for hours.<\/p>\n

”Do not touch that,” the teacher warned. -> The teacher warned them *not* (adverb) to touch that.<\/p>\n

”Let’s go swimming,” he suggested. -> He suggested that we *should* (modal) go swimming.<\/p>\n

”I might join you later,” she said. -> She said that she *might* (modal) join us later.<\/p>\n

”He doesn’t like chocolate,” she told me. -> She told me that he *didn’t* (auxiliary) like chocolate.<\/p>\n

”Stay away from the fence,” he ordered. -> He ordered us *to* (infinitive) stay away from the fence.<\/p>\n

”I could swim when I was six,” he claimed. -> He claimed that he *could* (modal) swim when he was six.<\/p>\n
