Detta tempus anv\u00e4nds ofta n\u00e4r vi vill betona att en handling var l\u00e5ngvarig eller f\u00f6r att st\u00e4lla den i kontrast till en annan handling som intr\u00e4ffade vid samma tidpunkt.
