Demonstrative adjectives in Catalan grammar are used to indicate a specific object, person, or place in relation to the speaker and listener. In Catalan, there are three sets of demonstrative adjectives: «aquest/ aquesta» (this); «aquell/ aquella» (that); and «aquell/aquella» (that, far away).
