O Reported Speech<\/a>, ou Discurso Indireto<\/a> em portugu\u00eas<\/a>, \u00e9 uma estrutura essencial na gram\u00e1tica inglesa<\/a>. Utilizado para relatar o que outra pessoa disse sem usar as exatas palavras dela, esse recurso \u00e9 fundamental para comunica\u00e7\u00f5es claras e efetivas. Ao converter um discurso direto para o indireto, \u00e9 importante alterar os tempos verbais, pronomes e express\u00f5es de tempo e lugar conforme necess\u00e1rio. Esses exerc\u00edcios s\u00e3o projetados para ajudar estudantes<\/a> a praticar essa habilidade em ingl\u00eas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She said, “I am tired.” \u2013 She said that she *was* (tense) tired.<\/p>\n

He told me, “I will call you later.” \u2013 He told me that he *would* (tense) call me later.<\/p>\n

“We have finished our homework,” they said. \u2013 They said that they *had* (tense) finished their homework.<\/p>\n

“I can play the piano,” she stated. \u2013 She stated that she *could* (ability) play the piano.<\/p>\n

They said, “It is raining outside.” \u2013 They said that it *was* (tense) raining outside.<\/p>\n

“I must go now,” he mentioned. \u2013 He mentioned that he *had* (obligation) to go now.<\/p>\n

“You should try the cake,” she suggested. \u2013 She suggested that I *should* (advice) try the cake.<\/p>\n

He complained, “My phone isn’t working.” \u2013 He complained that his phone *wasn’t* (tense) working.<\/p>\n

“I’ll help you with your project,” she offered. \u2013 She offered to help me with my *project* (object).<\/p>\n

“I’ve been to Paris<\/a> three times,” he told her. \u2013 He told her that he *had* (tense) been to Paris three times.<\/p>\n

“We were watching a movie when you called,” they explained. \u2013 They explained that they *had* (tense) been watching a movie when I called.<\/p>\n

He warned, “Don’t touch the wet paint.” \u2013 He warned not to touch the *wet* (adjective) paint.<\/p>\n

“Let’s go for a walk,” she proposed. \u2013 She proposed that we *go* (activity) for a walk.<\/p>\n

“You might find the book in the library,” he said. \u2013 He said that I *might* (possibility) find the book in the library.<\/p>\n

She inquired, “How long have you lived here?” \u2013 She inquired how long I *had* (duration) lived here.<\/p>\n

“Who did this painting?” he pondered. \u2013 He pondered who *had* (actor) done this painting.<\/p>\n

“Where did you get this information?” she queried. \u2013 She queried where I *had* (source) gotten this information.<\/p>\n

“Could you please explain this to me?” he requested. \u2013 He requested that I *explain* (action) this to him.<\/p>\n
