Statische werkwoorden, ook wel bekend als staat-werkwoorden, zijn een belangrijk aspect van<\/a> de Engelse grammatica<\/a>. Ze beschrijven een toestand of situatie die constant is en verwijzen naar zaken zoals emoties, bezit, percepties en mentale processen. Voorbeelden van statische werkwoorden zijn ‘love’, ‘own’ en ‘believe’.
